Our preferred candidate will be joining a supportive school environment, be a part of a tremendous staff culture, and join a dynamic and solid electives team. Our teaching staff has 5 classes a day and 2 planning periods. This position is for vocal music and a possible support elective class (to be determined by the candidate’s skills and school need). Currently, this person is a part of the music team that teaches a Wellness/middle school skills class for 6th grade. Think of the Wellness class as a type of middle school orientation class along with teaching various skills for the middle years. Some examples might include conflict management, executive functioning skills, friendship skills, digital citizenship, and social emotional learning are just a few areas that are currently included for this special class.
