Lincoln Academy Charter School in Arvada Colorado is seeking a full time K-8th music/theatre teacher. The position entails K-4th general music, and 5th-8th Choral/theatre. The Music/Theater teacher has primary responsibility for planning and delivering specific grade-leveleducational programs, coordinating and leading school-wide performances, and being an active faculty member dedicated to student achievement. The Music/Theater teacher will work closely with the other Specials/Electives teachers.
Specific job requirements include:
● Use Core-Knowledge curriculum and Colorado State Music Standards to prepare elementary and middle school music lessons and lesson materials in a manner that supports quality instruction and student learning.
● Plan, teach, and present multiple elementary music performances each school year.
● Program, teach and direct 5th- 8th grade choirs.
● Prepare, and teach Theater lessons in a manner that supports quality instruction and student learning.
● Select, cast, direct, and present multiple middle school aged Theater performances.
● Maintain care/responsibility for school-owned music, musical instruments, theater properties and costumes, and equipment to prevent loss or abuse.
