COMPREHENSIVE MAINTENANCE AND REPLACEMENT COVERAGE

REPLACEMENT: This instrument will be replaced with one of the same type and equal quality in the event of loss by theft or fire. A police report should be made within 72 hours of the loss and FHMC notified accordingly. Intentional damage or serious abuse may not be covered.

MAINTENANCE: Adjustments and repairs will be made as noted below to keep the instrument in good playing condition. All service and repairs must be made by FHMC. Coverage does not extend to expendable items such as reeds, lubricants, etc. This coverage does not include restoration of finish.

SPECIAL NOTICE: Customers that do not take M&R coverage from the start of the contract and later choose to add the coverage will be required to pay the fees from the original date of the contract to the current date to activate the coverage. Subject to the condition of the instrument.

Clarinet / Oboe
• Replace necessary pads, corks, springs, etc.
• Broken mouthpiece replaced. (bring damaged one to FHMC)
• Regulation of action and check for leaks.
• Repair broken keys.
• Free frozen keys.

Flute
• Replace necessary pads, corks, springs, etc.
• Regulation of action and check for leaks.
• Repair broken key(s).
• Free frozen keys.

Saxophone
• Replace necessary pads, corks, springs, etc.
• Broken mouthpiece replaced. (bring damaged one to FHMC)
• Regulation of action and check for leaks.
• Repair broken keys.
• Free frozen keys.

Trumpet, Cornet, Baritone
• Pull frozen mouthpiece.
• Free frozen slides.
• Solder repairs as necessary.
• Replace necessary corks, felts, springs.
• Remove reachable dents in bell and lead pipe.

Trombone
• Pull frozen mouthpiece.
• Free frozen slides.
• Solder repairs as necessary.
• Replace necessary corks, felts, springs.
• Remove reachable dents in bell and lead pipe.
• Remove dents, align and clean playing slide.

French Horn
• Restring and regulate valves.
• Pull frozen mouthpiece.
• Free frozen slides.
• Solder repairs as necessary.
• Replace necessary corks, felts, springs.
• Remove reachable dents in bell and lead pipe.

Violin, Viola, Cello, Bass
• Reset or replace bow hair.
• Other bow repair as necessary.
• Reset bridge, sound post, tail piece, nut, tailgut, or fingerboard.
• Strings and parts covered at 100%. • Repair cracked or broken wood or bridge. • Repair open seams. (Abuse or incorrect installation covered at 50%.)

Drums
• Hardware and shell covered 100%.
• Heads covered at 50%.
• Sticks and accessories not covered.

Case Repair
• Case covered at 100%.
