Grant Beacon Middle School has a half-time band position open for this fall! Grant Beacon has a terrific band program and is located in the Wash Park Neighborhood in Denver. There are currently several bands and a drumline that meets after school. Drumline is run by a local drum instructor. There is another terrific band director at the school who has been there for nine years and is stepping into leadership, she will be teaching some of the band classes.
There is huge community support for the music program, and the band program at Grant Beacon has grown a lot in the past several years. They work closely with Denver South High School’s Band program as well. There is plenty of room for this position to grow into full-time in a year or two, and the admin at Grant Beacon are happy to work with a teacher who has a half-time position at another school. This is a terrific position for a first-year teacher, someone who has another part-time position, or anyone who feels a half time position best fits their schedule for now.
